Markella is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to provide Welsh exam practice tools, including mock paper generation and AI-assisted revision guidance. Our services are intended for educational practice and support only. Markella does not provide official assessments, formal certifications, or recognized academic grades.
The platform is available to students, parents, and educators. Users under the age of 13 must have explicit parental or guardian consent to create an account. By using Markella, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information provided is accurate.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity occurring under your account is your sole responsibility. You must immediately notify Markella of any unauthorized use or security breach. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show suspicious login patterns.
Markella operates on a subscription basis. Plans are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided for mid-month cancellations. In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of your initial subscription for a full refund.
To ensure platform stability, specific usage limits apply based on your tier:
• Mock Generation: Limited per billing cycle.
• AI Help: Subject to monthly token/request limits.
• Add-ons: Specific features or content packs are only accessible with an active, paid subscription.
Users must not use the platform to facilitate cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty. Sharing account access with others, reselling generated content, or attempting to scrape data from the platform is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination.
AI-generated guidance is provided as educational support only. While we strive for high quality, Markella does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of AI responses or their alignment with specific final mark schemes. Markella is not responsible for any specific grades or exam outcomes achieved by the user.
All software, designs, and generated content are the property of Markella or its licensors. Users are granted a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive licence to use generated materials for their own private study. Commercial use or public distribution of Markella content is prohibited.
Markella is an independent study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any official exam boards. Our "exam-style" content is developed independently to align with publicly available Welsh curriculum specifications.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible. Refunds for unused subscription periods will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, Markella shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the preceding 12 months.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
